Taigh Na Mara offers quality self-catering accommodation on the sea front in the peaceful conservation area of Yardie, literally minutes away from the small bustling fishing town of Buckie with its busy harbour - home to many & varied fishing/sailing vessels and RNLI Lifeboat repair centre. A full range of shopping facilities are available in the one main High Street: supermarkets, banks, takeaways etc.

The cottage offers magnificent sea views across the Moray Firth from all rooms, particularly the upper lounge area. Seals are very much in evidence along this coastline with a particular viewing point at Portgordon, some 2 miles distant where the seals bask on the rocks at low tide.

Easy access for those with limited mobility (wheelchair accessible) together with downstairs bathroom and bedroom.

This traditional detached stone cottage can sleep up to 6 guests comfortably: One double bedroom (downstairs), one twin-bedded room (upstairs) and comfortable double sofa-bed in the large upstairs lounge area (7m x 4m). This particularly attractive room, with beamed ceiling, has twin aspect windows to the West and North offering spectacular uninterrupted sea views. Well fitted with comfy sofas, a rocking chair, electric central heating and a Living Flame Fire. Whales, dolphins and seals pass by occasionally and for the avid bird-watcher there is an abundance of sea birds resting on the rocks just outside the window. Dolphin spotting/watching trips are available from Buckie Harbour on the Gemini Explorer.

Separate dining area, adjacent to downstairs lounge providing comfortable 3-piece cane suite, TV & DVD. Fully equipped kitchen providing cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, iron/ironing board etc. There is a plentiful supply of crockery, cooling utensils, knives, pots, pans, etc., There is a shower room located on the ground floor with W.C., basin and enclosed shower.

The cottage is well equipped providing 2 TVs/DVD players/ mini hi-fi and a selection of books, DVDs and a good supply of brochures/leaflets offering things to do and see. Fresh bed linen is supplied. (Please bring your own towels). All beds have Goose Feather and Down Duvets and pillows for your added comfort. A cot and High Chair can be supplied on request at no extra charge. All heating and fuel is included. NO EXTRAS. Well behaved pets very welcome at no extra charge.

PARKING: Ample off-road parking right outside the front door.
